An evaluation system that rewards results, supported by mechanisms that foster growth.
Through a continuous cycle of challenge and learning, we help each employee expand their potential.
At LY Corporation, we place importance on properly recognizing each employee’s challenges and achievements and appropriately evaluating and rewarding the value they create.
Our evaluation process goes beyond individual performance alone to also consider contributions to the organization, the practice of our Values, and how employees fulfill their expected roles. Through this approach, we aim to provide fair evaluations and opportunities for growth.
Employees are evaluated every six months based on their individual performance, contributions to the organization, and fulfillment of their expected roles. These evaluations are used to determine bonuses, salary adjustments, and promotions.
Salary increases and bonuses are not granted uniformly. Employees who deliver outstanding results and make significant contributions beyond the expectations of their roles are eligible for uncapped salary increases and bonus awards. The system is designed to provide substantial rewards for exceptional achievements.
In the fast-evolving and innovative internet industry, we believe that people who can adapt to change, take initiative, and grow while playing an active role are the key to creating new value. That’s why we place importance on building a foundation that helps every employee fully develop their potential.
We provide opportunities to take on challenges, and by recognizing both your achievements and your contributions to products, teams, and the company, we create an environment where you can maximize your impact.
With clear and balanced evaluations, we boost individual motivation for self-development, revitalize the entire organization, and support the sustainable growth of our people and our products.
We focus on education related to generative AI, offering a wide range of practical training programs. In addition to e-learning, seminars and hands-on sessions are available to help employees apply generative AI in their work—improving efficiency and creating new value.

Training programs that systematize the essentials for maximizing organizational performance are offered for managers. Managers can select courses based on organizational or personal development needs, gaining practical learning that can be applied directly to their daily work.
To help employees take the lead in shaping their own careers, we run a year-round internal job-posting program offering positions within LY Corporation and its group companies. After a certain period of employment, you can apply for open positions on your own initiative—without requiring your supervisor’s approval—and if you pass the selection process, the transfer will take place. By encouraging new challenges in a different environment, this program supports employee growth.
This is a program to support employees who aim to earn a doctoral degree while continuing their work. We provide an environment where you can experience in practical research and theoretical studies related to big data, capitalizing on LY Corporation's strengths. The program is available to full-time employees with a minimum of two years of service. Those who pass the screening process will receive scholarships (up to 1 million yen per half year) for doctoral programs in science and engineering fields, and are eligible for one day of special paid leave per week. Through this initiative, we strive to promote both employee growth and the advancement of our company's technological capabilities.

All employees have access to ChatGPT Enterprise, and we also provide an in-house conversational AI assistant service powered by OpenAI’s API. These initiatives ensure a secure environment where diverse generative AI tools can be utilized safely.
To provide employees with the flexibility to choose from a variety of generative AI platforms as their technical foundation, we have adopted a multi-vendor strategy by partnering with the most suitable providers.
In addition to a comprehensive agreement covering all APIs offered by OpenAI, L.L.C., large language models available on Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services are also accessible
With the goal of enabling all employees—not only those in technical roles—to become proficient in AI, we provide a wide range of learning opportunities.
These include mandatory e-learning programs covering risk management and prompt engineering for the safe and effective use of AI, the launch of a portal site to share knowledge across the company, and the regular organization of study groups and seminars. Through these initiatives, we promote company-wide adoption of AI.
To promote the use of AI and the sharing of use cases, we host an internal award program called LY Corporation ChatAI CHALLENGE.
Employees can also take part in the generative AI contest organized by the SoftBank Group, providing opportunities to showcase their own AI initiatives and ideas and to take on new challenges proactively. Many of the award-winning ideas from these contests have already been applied to our services and business operations.
