The LY Corporation Work Environment

By leveraging the strengths of both the office and remote work, we provide an environment where every employee can perform at their best.

We support a way of working that combines communication and focused work in the optimal balance, enabling teams to continuously create value together.

LY Corporation operates multiple offices across Japan. Employees’ assigned office locations are determined based on factors such as job type, position, and organizational structure.

Hybrid Work Style

As a general rule, employees are expected to work from their assigned office at least three days a week, while also having the flexibility to combine remote work.

We support a work style that takes advantage of both environments—enhancing teamwork through in-person discussions and co-creation, while also enabling employees to secure uninterrupted time for focused work regardless of location.

Full Flex System

LY Corporation has adopted a flextime system with no core hours, allowing employees to determine their own start and end times within a designated framework.

Provided that employees meet the required total monthly working hours (7.75 hours × number of business days in the month), they can independently decide their daily schedules and working hours.

*Some departments operate on fixed or shift-based schedules.

Commuting Allowance

Transportation expenses are reimbursed based on the number of days employees commute to their assigned office, up to JPY 150,000 per month.

LY Corporation Working Style Allowance

To support employees in creating an environment where they can perform at a high level, LY Corporation provides an allowance of JPY 11,000 per month.

*Available only to full-time and contract employees.

Akasaka Office

  • Akasaka Office 01: A wood-toned coworking lounge with sofa seating and individual workspaces

    CONNECT STREET, located along the path leading to the work areas, is designed to spark new ideas through spontaneous encounters and conversations.

  • Akasaka Office 02: An office area with rows of partitioned desks and multiple monitors

    The work areas that support daily productivity are fully equipped with dual monitors, adjustable standing desks, and ergonomic chairs. In addition, enclosed and quiet STUDY ROOM spaces are available for employees who need a more focused environment than their regular desks, supporting diverse work styles and comfortable concentration.

  • Akasaka Office 03: A bright event and training space with whiteboards and chairs

    In addition to CONNECT HUB spaces that can accommodate gatherings ranging from small groups to large teams, the office also includes private rooms and seminar rooms. These spaces encourage face-to-face communication, promote collaboration across departments, and support fast decision-making.

  • Akasaka Office 04: A calm office lounge with plants, LINE Yahoo signage, and characters

    The RECEPTION area reflects the unique identity of LY Corporation. Featuring company characters throughout the space, it welcomes visitors in a warm and approachable atmosphere.

  • A modern coworking space dining area with brick-style counters, long communal tables, warm ambient lighting, and a glowing “Dining” neon sign in an open industrial-style interior.

    The Dining / Cafe area can be used for meals and refreshment. It is a place where spontaneous conversations over food can lead to new discoveries.

    Kioicho Office (Head Office)

    • Kioicho Office 01: An open office area with individual booths and sofa seating

      The office layout is designed to encourage communication and create an environment where new ideas emerge through everyday conversations.

    • Kioicho Office 02: Semi-private focus booths divided by acoustic panels

      Private booths are also available for employees who want to concentrate and deepen their thinking. The environment supports a balance between collaboration and focused work, helping employees achieve strong results.

    • Kioicho Office 03: An open workspace with long tables by the windows

      The office also features a cafeteria that naturally encourages interaction in everyday settings. Mealtimes provide opportunities for new connections and fresh ideas.

    • Kioicho Office 04: A lounge space with a monitor displaying the LINE Yahoo logo and characters

      Visitors are welcomed by LY Corporation characters in the reception area, creating an entrance that reflects the company’s brand world.

      Communication Support

      Social Gathering Support

      LY Corporation subsidizes costs related to team gatherings and employee social events within a specified number of occasions and budget limits.
      The program is intended to encourage communication among employees involved in work together, from small teams and entire departments to project-based groups.

      Club Activities

      A variety of employee clubs and circles are active within the company, and employees can join freely if they wish.
      The company provides subsidies for club activities every half-year based on the number of participants and activity details.
