LY Corporation

Internship 2026

Engineer

Where the next generation of LY Corporation engineers is born — through internship challenges.

Our internship program consists of two formats: a work-based program where you will be assigned to an actual team within one of our engineering organizations, and a hackathon-style program where you can experience real product development.
You can choose a position that matches your interests from a wide range of options, including different products and technical domains. With support from our full-time engineers, you will work in a real development environment, collaborate as a team, and grow through code reviews and feedback.
The experience and feedback you gain through hands-on work will become valuable input for your first career decision. If we feel there is a mutual fit through the internship experience, you may be invited to proceed directly to the hiring selection process.

FAQ

Can I apply for more than one course?
You are not allowed to apply for multiple courses simultaneously. However, within the course of your choice, you can list multiple preferred positions, and indicate them as your first choice, second choice, and so on.
Does participation in an internship give me an advantage in the main selection process for new graduate recruitment?
An internship is an important opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the work and workplace at LY Corporation and to see whether the environment is right for you. Simply participating in the internship does not automatically give you an advantage in the selection process, but if your strengths and fit are demonstrated through the work, we may invite you to the next stage of the selection process earlier. We will also make use of the mutual understanding gained through the internship in the selection process that follows.
Is it possible to have flexibility with the schedule or duration?
If the schedule or duration is marked as "negotiable," you can discuss these details. Please mention your wish to negotiate during the interview and provide any relevant information.
Is it possible to take a day off or unscheduled break during the internship?
In principle, please make sure to adjust your schedule so that you do not have to take a day off or unscheduled break during the internship. In case of unavoidable circumstances, such as academic reasons, we may be able to arrange your schedule after consulting with the department where you will be assigned.
What are the rules regarding remote work and office attendance?
During the internship, your working arrangement will follow the assigned team’s work rules and will be hybrid (with office attendance expected about 1–3 days per week). The exact in-office frequency and how it is managed vary by position, so please confirm the details during the interview.
