LY Corporation today received guidance from the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan. Again, we sincerely apologize to our users and stakeholders for any concern or inconvenience this may have caused.
The guidance is on the defect announced on August 7, 2023* regarding the display of the internal identifiers of customers who had listed their items on Yahoo! In addition, this has no relevance to the incident announced on November 27, 2023 in the “Notice and Apology Regarding Information Leakage Due to Unauthorized Access.”
We take this guidance seriously, endeavoring to reestablish the trust of all, and making every effort to ensure that our users and relevant parties can utilize our services with confidence and peace of mind.
