Biotope (ecological environment) at Garden Terrace Kioicho building

In an effort to conserve biodiversity and contribute to local communities, LY Corporation (the "Company") is working on an urban development initiative at its Tokyo office in the Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho building, forming an ecological network (corridor) connecting precious greens in central Tokyo. The Company is working on this initiative to conserve and recover biodiversity through biotope regeneration.
Specifically, since June 2016, the Company has continuously worked on building an environment so that fireflies (which have been identified as inhabiting the inner moat of the Imperial Palace close to the office) can now live in the Kioicho biotope, symbolizing natural regeneration in the vicinity of LY Corporation's office.
In May 2017, new adult fireflies were found for the first time in the Kioicho biotope. The Company has continued to confirm the existence of more in the following years, seeing definite progress in its efforts to create a lasting environment for the fireflies.
LY Corporation will keep up its initiatives as it strives to be a company that harmonizes with the natural environment, local communities, and future society.
