Preventing Harassment of Job Seekers and Others

LY Corporation (hereinafter the “Company”) is committed to preventing harassment in all aspects of its recruiting activities, including applications and selection processes, internships, visits with alumni, and casual interviews. To help everyone participating in the Company’s recruiting activities feel comfortable during interviews, selection processes, and other interactions, this page explains the Company’s approach to preventing harassment in recruiting activities and provides contact information for consultation.

Scope (Who and What This Page Covers)

This page applies to all people seeking employment with the Company or participating in recruiting-related programs, including applicants for new graduate and mid-career positions, internship participants, people taking part in alumni visits, and people attending casual interviews.

It applies to recruiting-related situations both in person and online, including recruiting events, interviews, meals and social gatherings, communications by email, chat, phone, and social media, as well as travel and other situations related to job-seeking activities.

Our Approach and Initiatives

The Company has established Regulations on the Prevention of Sexual and Other Harassment of Job Seekers and Others and broadly communicates these regulations to employees involved in recruiting activities to promote awareness.

When Company employees interact with candidates (including prospective applicants) and students, they are expected to act with appropriate manners and ethical standards as employees involved in recruiting activities and to observe the following:

  • As a general rule, interviews are held during the daytime in open environments. Online interviews are also conducted in environments appropriate for recruiting activities.
  • We do not conduct interviews or social gatherings involving alcohol.
  • We do not conduct interviews in private homes, karaoke rooms, or other enclosed spaces (except for online interviews).
  • We do not use interviews or communications to seek favors or anything in return in connection with recruiting.
  • We do not make or send sexual jokes, questions, evaluations, rumors, images, or other information of a sexual nature.
  • We do not ask questions or make comments about appearance, body, romantic relationships, dating, marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, sexual experience, sexual orientation, gender identity, or other matters related to sex or gender unless necessary for recruiting activities.
  • We do not make unwanted physical contact or seek dating, sexual relationships, meals, drinking, overnight stays, or other private relationships against the other person’s wishes.
  • We do not suggest advantages or disadvantages in the selection process or use our position or influence within the Company to pressure anyone to accept sexual conduct or remarks.
  • We do not treat anyone unfavorably in selection, evaluation, or any other context because they rejected sexual conduct or remarks.
  • We do not engage in private communications unrelated to recruiting activities or contact candidates in ways that cause anxiety or undue burden.
