CDP is a global non-profit environmental organization that surveys and assesses companies and municipalities worldwide on their efforts in setting high goals, managing risks, and disclosing information on environmental issues. CDP's annual assessment process aligns with the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations, a framework for disclosure on climate change, and is widely recognized as the global standard for assessing corporate environmental activities. In 2024, the number of companies providing disclosures through CDP rose to 24,800, representing over two thirds of global market capitalization. More than 2,100 Japanese companies have disclosed data through CDP, including over 70% of companies listed on the TSE Prime Market (as of April 1, 2024).

In the assessed climate change category, the LY Corporation Group addresses climate change by setting targets in terms of "mitigation" and "adaptation." In terms of mitigation, the Group carries out various initiatives, such as introducing renewable energy sources with additionality, to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases, which is the cause of climate change and global warming. The goal is to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions for Scope 1 and Scope 2 within the LY Corporation Group by FY2030. Furthermore, the Group aims to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions for Scope 1, 2, and 3 by FY2050. In terms of adaptation, the Group takes measures based on an outlook that global warming will continue for the foreseeable future. In particular, increasingly intensifying disasters are considered as a priority area, along with BCP. Going forward, the LY Corporation Group intends to engage in further measures such as shifting to 100% renewable energy.
