LINE GAME closures and refunds

Announcement

LY Corporation ("LYC") has closed one of its game titles under its LINE GAME division as of 3pm, June 11, 2025 (GMT+9).

In accordance with the Payment Services Act, Article 20, Paragraph 1, customers will be entitled to claim refunds as described below for prepaid payment instruments which they purchased and are remaining in their accounts (hereinafter referred to as paid-for prepaid payment instrument balance) at the time the game closes.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to all our players to date. LINE GAME will continue to work to bring enjoyable games to everyone. Thank you for your understanding.

Information on the prepaid payment instruments to be refunded can be found below.

Paid-for prepaid payment instrument balances that have not been used by 3pm, June 11, 2025 (GMT+9) will be refunded.
For players who experienced the issue wherein they received free prepaid payment instruments instead of the intended paid allotment (hereinafter referred to as affected players), the free prepaid payment instruments received due to this will be treated as paid-for prepaid payment instruments and refunded.
・ Affected players: Players who used the Dia Gift Purchase feature on the Android version between 2014 and 2018, as well as players who received gifts from these players on both Android and iOS versions

Refund application process

1. Access the Refund Application Form (located at https://refund.line.me/) and log in using the email address and password associated with your LINE account.
  ・ Please access the form using a computer browser, as accessing it from a mobile device may cause it to not function properly.
2. Select the game for which you wish to request a refund and confirm that the amount shown is correct.
  ・ For players affected by the bug, free prepaid payment instrument balance eligible to be refunded is displayed totaled together with paid-for prepaid payment instrument balance on the Refund Application Form.
3. Enter your bank account information for the bank transfer, then submit the form. Note: If your outstanding balance was zero, then you will not be prompted to enter any bank account information.

・ To all players playing via a method other than LINE Login:
The instructions above are only for players using LINE Login.
In order to apply for a refund, players using any other login type will have to access the inquiry form via the link below. Please use the form to let us know that you wish to be refunded, making sure to include the game title in question together with the following information and that of items 2 and 3 above in your message.

- Your "receipt information" is necessary when you apply for a refund, so please be sure to include it in your inquiry.
- Receipt information: payment date, payment number, payment amount, item name
   ・ Additional information may be requested after your application in order to help us identify the account.

Refund application period

From 3pm, Jun. 19, 2025 to 3pm, Sep. 16, 2025 (GMT+9)
・ Any application forms received before or after this period will NOT be considered.

Refund process

Once your refund application has been processed, an amount equivalent to your outstanding balance will be transferred to your bank account in Japanese yen.
・ Money transfer fees, whether for national or international transactions, will be covered by us.
However, when transferring funds to overseas accounts, some additional fees may be levied, such as intermediary fees or currency exchange fees.

Notes

- Refunds will be processed no earlier than Oct. 24, 2025 (GMT+9).
- If you wish to make any changes to the information you provided on your Refund Application Form, simply fill out the form and submit again. Only the last form you submit will be processed for refunds.
- We will be unable to provide refunds in cases where illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized activities are associated with the application.
   ・ We may request that you submit documentation such as your personal identification and/or your purchase information in order to prevent actions including but not limited to fraudulent applications for refunds, refund applications by third parties, duplicate refund applications, as well as the falsification of accounts and refund amounts.
  ・ Based on the status of your purchases, we may deem it appropriate to cancel some purchases instead of providing refunds for them.
